What is Seena
Seena is an ambient research agent that lives inside your product, talks to your users when it matters, and briefs your team the next morning.
Create a personal Seena account with starter usage, or accept a workspace invite to join your team.
Quickstart
From zero to your first Seena session in about five minutes — sign up, add a site, paste the script, and confirm.
Core concepts
The vocabulary the rest of the docs assume — Sites, Interview Agents, Sessions, Insights, Briefings, and Usage.
Install
Install Seena
Every Seena install is the same script tag. Pick your platform for where to drop it in.
Install on plain HTML
One script tag in the head. Works on any site you can edit HTML on.
Install on Next.js and React
Use Next.js's Script component in the root layout for App Router, or _document.tsx for Pages Router.
Install in vibe-coded apps (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, v0)
Hand the Seena install snippet to your coding assistant and let it do the work. Detailed guide coming soon.
Interview Agents
What is an Interview Agent
An AI moderator that talks to your users when specific conditions are met. Seena has two types — the general feedback agent and custom interview agents.
How Interview Agents work
A tour of the runtime — what happens between a page load and a finished interview, including identifying users and passing custom session metadata.
Triggers
When an agent fires. The full taxonomy — manual triggers (pageview, time, scroll, element, exit), compound conditions (AND/OR), and agentic triggers on Pro.
Agent governance
The rules that keep Seena from over-interviewing visitors — per-session cap, cooldown, dismissal escalation, visitor recurrence, and priority.
Writing good interview questions
The difference between an interview that learns something and one that just generates noise — phrasing, sequencing, and what to skip.
Agent customization
Configure how a custom interview agent asks questions — specific pre-written questions, or AI-generated questions driven by research goals (Pro).
Agent appearance
The visual side of the agent — theme, logo variant, logo color, pill position, and the label your visitors see.
Insights & AI analysis
How Seena's AI analysis works
Why continuous, AI-moderated research produces better insight than surveys, analytics, or traditional research — and where each of those still wins.
What is an insight
An insight is a structured finding — a statement, a theme, and the exact user evidence that supports it. Every insight is traceable back to a quote.
What is a briefing
A daily or weekly narrative of what Seena learned — ranked, summarized, and quoting users in their own voice. The thing your team actually reads.
Your Workspace
Explore with The Librarian
Your workspace's AI research assistant — ask it anything about your users, your insights, or your product, and it cites the evidence.
Product Map
A visual map of how visitors actually move through your product, built from real sessions.
Interview data pages
Where individual interviews live — transcript, audio, context, and the insights extracted from each conversation.
Analytics data pages
The quantitative view — volumes, conversion rates, behavioral signal density, and session-level metrics over time.
Custom session data
Attach your own identifiers and attributes to sessions, manage them in Seena, and let the Librarian use them safely.
Account
Sites
A site is an installation point — one domain where Seena is live. DNS verification, recrawling, retention, and what's coming for native mobile.
Workspaces and members
How to work in Seena with a team — workspace tiers, inviting members, roles, and the subscription requirement for sharing.
Usage and billing
How Seena meters usage, what each plan includes, how per-seat billing works, and how to top up when you need more.
